31 Day Challenge! Day 25: Inspired by Fashion

Hello! Well today's nails came out a little bit interesting. I don't consider myself a fashion person. In fact, all I wear are jeans and T shirts. Which means today's challenge was just that, a challenge. So I went to Vogue for some fashion advise. I ended up finding this really bizarre yet intriguing pantsuit to use for my inspiration.

Keep reading to see the nails!

I thought it was perfect because I knew I had a stamp with a similar pattern. Well I did my layers of sponging on colors and a couple of stamped layers and I still wasn't satisfied. It just didn't look enough like the picture. Then I remembered that I had purchased Zoya Erin and it was a very sheer pale pink with a silver shimmer. It was the perfect thing to add some shine, right? Wrong. Once I added the polish over the white stamp, it turned the white polish green! YIKES!

The good news is, this pantsuit was only to inspire right? Man I wish I had taken photos before I added Zoya Erin. Oh well, I think the nails came out looking cool. The untried polishes used in today's manicure were Orly Buried Alive and Zoya Erin.

Orly Buried Alive

Zoya Erin
What I used:
  • Basecolor: Orly Buried Alive
  • Sponged on: Ulta Sun of a Gun and Sally Hansen Sun Kissed
  • Stamp: BM 223
  • Stamping polishes: 1 layer of SH Black Out and 1 layer of SH White On
  • 1 Coat of Zoya Erin
  • Top Coat: inm Out the Door
I want to mention that I added the top coat after the color changed, so it was definitely Zoya Erin that caused it. Does anyone else own this polish and have this problem with it? I was so perplexed but thought it was hysterical. I was so excited to find out that Zoya had a polish with my name but totally bummed once I found out the polish was a sheer pale pink. Ick. I really don't like pale pink. Anyways it was hysterical that my namesake polish turned green since that's my favorite color. :)

I'm excited to see what everyone else came up with. Day's challenge was a tough one. Next up is inspired by a pattern. That shouldn't be too difficult!

See you tomorrow!
PeaceErin
