31 Day Challenge! Day 27: Inspired by artwork

Hello all! Today's challenge was to create nail art inspired by artwork.  I originally wanted to do a Jackson Pollock painting but I just can't figure out how to create splatter! It was so frustrating! Ultimately, I choose to do a painting by one of my favorite artists, Claude Monet. My inspiration was his painting Water Lilies (The Clouds.)

This was not an easy day for the challenge. I tried my best but I don't feel like I did this painting justice. It's so beautiful but I wasn't sure how to go about replicating it. I just used a piece of a sea wool sponge that I picked up at Michael's last year. The untried polish for today's challenge is Ulta Vintage Violet. I only used it for my thumb.

What I used:

  • OPI Jade is the New Black, Suzi Says Feng Shui
  • Piggy Polish Blue-ing Romance
  • Ulta Vintage Violet
  • Red, white, green acrylic paint
  • Sea wool sponge
Only four days of the challenge left! Wow! This month has gone by far to fast. I hope you have been enjoying my different nail art each day. I have been working my butt off creating all the different looks for each day. I am definitely going to need a small break.

See you tomorrow!
